This is the most intense and epic love story EVER told!! The whole scope was seriously impressive. Yet, there are also a lot of good messages about the power of love and hope and perseverance in the face of any and everything trying sjmons kill you. I have iinete many blessings and privileges just because of where I was born, and even though this book is fiction, their situation in Leningrad was so very real. But then Paullina finds a second gear and boosts the story with new twists.

The bronze horseman is definitely a unique book. Her lips moved to his mouth. View all 9 pauloina. But I realized that if something inspires me to the extent in which this book has, whether happy or sad- it warrants five stars all the way! But it is lies, secrets and fears that eat at their souls and will threaten to tear them apart. In many ways, it not so much followed it as it did complete it. Feb 22, grace rated it really liked it.
She was the ultimate pushover and I really wanted to shake some sense into herself at times. It was amazing and heartbreaking. This book is absolutely huge.
Feeling him was entirely too much. They kissed away Orbeli and Dimitri, they kissed away war and communism, America and Russia. I didn’t like the way it was handled. But eventually the war comes right to Lenningrad and they are forced to all fight for survival.
There were a few surprises I honestly picture Alexander, Rhysand, and so many more the way I do because of her talent. So, of course, Tatiana does the only right thing and refuses to be with him. Being able to see the war through the eyes of a soldier and the citizens made the story come alive right before my very eyes.

Well, I’m here to somehow convince you to just give it a chance! In fact, jinste were moments when I wanted to hurl the book against the wall because I felt so strongly…and I have never felt that urge before. You do learn some facts because obviously they live through the war, but its the background.

In Leningrad, it becomes clear that Alexander cannot stay away, but Tatiana refuses to tell Dasha about their relationship. Orbeli was the ultimate sacrifice that Alexander gave to Tania.
