Liesl is olivsr devoted to her late father throughout, and she also shows kindness and consideration to her friends. How would Liesl survive the months of starvation and cruelty and still emerge whole, piesl, clean, and kind? This is a lovely book recommended to me by Wendy Darling – go read her review for a much more in depth look into this book. Persevering goodness triumphs over perils both personal and cosmic as Liesl and her friends try to lay her father’s ghost to rest and restore light and harmony to the world. Oh I wish this could have been a book I had read as a child. And how can Liesl and Will ever escape the powerful and murderous adults following them?

I was going to create a heroine section but I kind of liked these characters altogether. Paranormal ’80s classic has some scares, innuendo.
It was actually pretty foreseeable from an adult standpoint. From the moment you read the authors introduction which explains what inspired her to write this book – you find that the book is more than just another story, another project.
The writing is exquisite. Come around, everyone, and join me and my cat in this amazing review of a truly amazing book.
